Macupdate is a great tool to keep all your installed Mac apps up to date.
When you first run Macupdate, it will automatically list all outdated apps
Even track outdated preference panes and plug-ins
Quickly search/filter for the apps you are interested in
Installing An Update
Installing an update for out of date application is as easy as double-clicking it. The default action is to download a DMG file from Macupdate, which you can double-click to install.
In the example above, double-clicking on Tinker-tool will download the file http://dl.macupdate.com/prod/TinkerTool.dmg
You can also right-click on an outdated app and select Download+Install
Pricing
The downside? All these convenience does not come free. MacUpdate is a subscription service that costs $20/year.
